Denise Peffer's  Mississippi Mud Dessert

Absolutely Fantastic and a real crowd pleaser. Made it for Thanksgiving and it was gone in a flash.

Cream together for the bottom crust in a 9X12 pan: 1 and 1/2 sticks butter, ˝ cup chopped nuts,  and 1 and ˝ cups flour. Spread in pan bake 350 degrees for about 20m minutes then cool.

Second layer: Mix together 8 oz cream cheese, and about a cup or half container cool whip and 1 cup confectionary sugar. Spread that over cooled crust. If having trouble spreading I take little globs and put in different areas and use a cup of hot water to keep dipping my spreading spoon in as I spread it.

Third layer: Beat 2 minutes  1 small box vanilla instant and 1 small box chocolate instant puddings with 3 cups cold milk. Spread that over cream cheese layer. Put this in fridge a bit to set before spreading the final layer of the remainder of the cool whip on top –then I sprinkle colorful “jimmies” on top for decoration.

Can also use lemon pudding to create  lemon lush.
